We are looking for senior experienced doctors to join us as a Senior Clinical Fellow at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The training opportunities will mirror those given to the Internal Medicine Trainees/Specialist Trainees with support from departmental teaching, ePortfolio, training budget, Quality Improvement Projects (QIP), participation in Outpatient elective activity and allocation of a clinical/educational supervisor to support career development. Advanced Life Support (ALS) can also be organised at the trust but is desirable to have before starting.
The appointee will contribute to the medical on-call rota, including leading cardiac arrests and supervising junior doctors.

Job responsibilities
Clinical To provide rapid assessment of general medical patients. To stabilise and manage patients admitted with medical emergencies. To maintain effective communication and handover to the on-call team. To develop emergency services, liaising with other departments including Acute, Accident & Emergency, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Community Care, and developing speciality teams and fast-track services. To take part in the weekend General Medical on-call rota with colleagues, currently 1 in 18. Organisational Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other healthcare professionals. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. To provide leadership and support for the effective development of the service. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To further develop clinical protocols, guidelines, and concise care bundles. To carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy. To be aware of the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff and attend all relevant health and safety training. To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard. To attend all relevant management training in health and safety, risk assessment etc. To participate in personal objective setting and review, including the creation of a personal development plan and the Trust's appraisal process. Qualifications
Essential MBBS or equivalent medical degree. MRCP (UK) Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent experience. Advanced Life Support (ALS) or be in the process of acquiring within a grace period of starting. Desirable Other professional qualification or higher degree e.g. in medical education, clinical research or management. Experience
Essential Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council. Experience in acute and general medicine at ST2 or equivalent level for at least 12 months. Achieved the competences equivalent to that of a trainee who has completed UK foundation, ST1 and ST2 training or equivalent experience. Evidence of supervision or training of junior doctors. Desirable Advanced procedural competences, such as chest drains, ascitic drains and lumbar punctures. Experience
Essential Management of medical admissions at ST3+ level. Minimum of 2 years of UK experience.
