Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Modelling:
Oversee the development and deployment of advanced predictive models and machine learning solutions using
Python . Data Engineering and Pipelines:
Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and optimise scalable data pipelines using
SQL
and
AWS . Cloud Integration:
Manage cloud-based solutions on
AWS , ensuring efficient model deployment, scalability, and performance. Version Control and Deployment:
Implement and oversee
Azure DevOps (ADO)
practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment processes. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions and ensuring project alignment with objectives. Visualisation (Optional):
Support business reporting and insights through
Power BI
dashboards (nice to have). Process Optimisation:
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance data governance, and standardise data practices across teams. Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure comprehensive documentation of models, processes, and projects for transparency and knowledge sharing. Requirements
Experience: 4-5 years of experience in data science or a related field. Technical Skills: Expertise in
Python
for advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation. Proficiency in
SQL
for querying and transforming large datasets. Strong experience with
AWS
for cloud-based data solutions and model deployment. Hands-on experience with
Azure DevOps (ADO)
for version control and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of
Power BI
for data visualisation is a plus. Soft Skills: The ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving objectives. Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Strategic problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Additional certifications in AWS, machine learning, or project management are advantageous. This role combines leadership capabilities with strong technical expertise, making it ideal for a data science professional with 4-5 years of experience looking to take on a managerial position.
