The Sr. Principal Systems Engineer is a key role working in partnership with the Program Engineer Manager and Lead Systems Engineer to plan, design, test, and deploy Combat Mission Systems. Sr. Principal Systems Engineer is the key Systems Engineer point of contact for a program. You will provide technical oversight and integration across technical teams during the engineering design and production phases to promote big-picture thinking.

As a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer, you will:

Plan and coordinate systems engineering activities such as system architecture, concept of operations, requirements, interfaces, integration, verification/validation, RAM-T, product safety, and HSI.

Provide SE input to ensure designed solution achieve program requirements.

Develop and maintain professional customer relationships.

Own and author the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), ensuring the plan is current at all program milestones and internal LCM Reviews.

Ensure quality on-time submission of all SE products.

Maintain the Requirements Compliance Matrix (RCM) to ensure current and relevant predicted requirement compliance.

Maintain architecture artifacts (ICDs, Use Cases).

Drive SWAP-C and DTUPC initiatives.

Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Test Lead to resolve cross-functional issues, elevating to the PEM and/or LSE as required.

Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsible for the SE Management and Architecture Work Packages.

Participate in responses to customer Request For Information (RFI), Request For Proposal (RFP) and new business development pursuits, including on-site and off-site technical interchange meetings and technical demonstrations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Strong background in technical project management and lifecycle support.

Aptitude to resolve complex technical projects and provide technical guidance.

Model based systems engineering (MBSE) and/or MBSE tools experience.

Experience performing systems engineering activities including working with CONOPS, architectures, system evaluations, trade studies, and requirements analysis.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Master's degree in Engineering.

Experienced in combat vehicle system development.

Experience preparing and negotiating proposals, including Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

Personnel management and building cohesive/collaborative teams.

Understanding of engineering development processes/lifecycle.

Qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and management skills.

Experienced as a control account manager or work package manager, with knowledge of EVMS, IMS, SEMP, and related management tools.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270.

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
