About the Role In the new role as Yardman, Trade Counter Sales, and Driver, you will be a key person in the depot's day-to-day running. Ideally, the successful candidate will have knowledge of the roofing world; however, if they are keen to learn and develop their knowledge, basic knowledge is acceptable. The main duties and responsibilities will include:

Processing customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.

Unloading building products from supplier deliveries and accurately booking them in the branch warehouse.

Forklift licence is preferred; if not, the successful candidate will receive full training to drive forklifts once probation is passed.

Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

Ensuring orders are booked for delivery on the correct date.

Chasing quotations within the relevant time scale.

Processing customer orders, preparing quotes, and keeping the shop floor clean and tidy.

Dealing with walk-in customers appropriately.

About You We would love to hear from candidates who are happy to work in three areas of the business. You will need experience of:

Prioritising workload alongside the Manager.

Being a team player while also having the initiative to work independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail due to the nature of the business.

Eagerness to learn and develop skills.

Computer literacy and capability of learning new systems.

Excellent customer service skills.

A Class 2 license is preferable but not essential.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn and develop their skills. They will be computer literate and capable of learning new systems. The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running with the key attributes of becoming a key member of our St Neots team.
