Job Title: Staff Café Team Leader
We are looking for a Staff Café Team Leader to join us at Bettys & Taylors Group. As a Staff Café Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth and effective running of one of our Staff Cafés, working to deliver 3 meals across the day for our onsite colleagues (approx. 400 for lunch). Day-to-day your role would include working as part of the catering team and in collaboration with one other Team Leader and the Staff Café Manager. You would allocate daily tasks to the Café Assistants, support with food preparation and cooking as well as menu planning and ordering goods. This role will be based at Pagoda House in Starbeck (Harrogate) where we have offices and manufacture tea and coffee for our much-loved brands Yorkshire Tea and Taylors coffee. This is a full-time role working 40 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday, occasionally you may be asked to work on a weekend. The shift pattern for this role is rotating early and late including, week 1: 6:30am – 2:30pm and week 2: 12:00pm – 8:00pm (11:30am – 7:30pm on Fridays). About you : The ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen. Experience of food preparation and cooking procedures in a catering environment. Good leadership with the ability to motivate a small team. Ability to uphold the food safety and health & safety standards set out in our policies. A minimum of Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
