Band 5 Staff Nurse – Acute Adult Mental Health Team Relocate Guernsey About the Role Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a passionate and motivated Staff Nurse to join the Acute Adult Mental Health Team in Guernsey. Main Responsibilities Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans. Respond effectively to emergencies and provide nursing care within your expertise. Act as a key contact for patients, families, and carers, ensuring compassionate and person-centred care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate care. Support and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional growth. Gain experience in leadership roles under the guidance of senior team members. Lead care coordination and service delivery in the absence of senior staff. Facilitate complex discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care. Demonstrate empathy and effective communication in challenging situations. Engage in ongoing professional development through training and clinical supervision. Act as a health promoter, providing education to patients and families. Participate in audits and care improvement initiatives. What You’ll Need Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with NMC registration. Motivation for service improvement and willingness to engage in care enhancement projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to flexible working to support 24-hour service delivery. Knowledge of the Recovery Model and evidence-based practice.
