Undertake comprehensive, patient-focused, nursing assessment and co-produce care plans in consultation with the service user and their families and carers. Undertake comprehensive risk assessment and formulate risk management plans with Service Users, their families, and carers. Assist the Unit Manager in developing a service that will ensure that the needs of patients are met with regard to their age, spiritual, cultural, ethnic, and sexual orientation. Assist the Unit Manager with the ongoing development of the unit. In consultation with the multi-disciplinary team, ensure high standards of individual care for patients and that they are fully consulted and involved in every aspect of their care. Provide management and clinical supervision to members of staff. Conduct annual appraisals/IPDRs for staff members. Liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and both statutory and non-statutory organizations involved with client care.
