You will receive development and support from a senior nursing team consisting of a Ward Manager and 2 Deputy Ward Managers. The trust has a strong emphasis on staff support and development.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a consistently high standard of nursing care that meets the individual needs of our patients and those of the Trust.
The post holder will demonstrate clinical expertise in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care that puts patients at the centre of this approach.
The post holder will be expected to have the required management and facilitation skills that allow them to supervise the activity of other staff in the clinical setting, promote multi-disciplinary working, and facilitate a supportive and learning environment.
The post holder may, on occasions, be required to assume responsibility for the ward/department in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
As a Registered Nurse, the post holder is expected to consistently act in accordance with the NMC Code.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Previous experience Essential Registered adult/mental health or learning disability nurses must have experience working with adults.
Skills Essential Good written, oral, and IT communication skills. Safeguarding awareness. Awareness and knowledge of the dignity in care agenda. Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework.
Desirable Venepuncture Skills.
Specific Requirements Essential Able to travel to work on other hospital sites when requested.
