We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and compassionate nurse to join our well established Cardiac Catheter Lab nursing team. We have a friendly and growing multidisciplinary team, and are looking for someone who will be excited to support and work with their team, to advance the current service. Although prior Catheter Lab experience would be desired, we are also able to provide comprehensive in-house Cardiac Catheter Lab and recovery training from our dedicated team. We have a busy recovery day case area and two cardiac catheter labs. We provide both interventional and electrophysiology work and are looking to expand and develop our current service. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to be an active member of the team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Cardiac Catheter Lab and Day Case unit. They will be a role model to all, setting and maintaining high standards of nursing care/practice in order to ensure that they are providing high-quality person-centred care. The successful candidate will be expected to support the Cardiologist during diagnostic and investigative procedures and so keen interest in cardiology and a willingness to learn is essential. To assist in the day to day running of the Cardiac Catheter lab and day case area To assist the Cardiologist during diagnostic and investigative procedures To set and maintain high standards of nursing practice To provide a high standard of care for patients prior to, during and following procedure To assist in staff development and be committed to their own. Good working relationship with in the multidisciplinary team Adhere to the NMC code of conduct and confidentiality Annual Performance Review High standards of care to patients and relatives To participate in standard setting and clinical audits within the framework of quality assurance Development of staff, provide in house learning programme Assist in the maintaining and controlling of stock levels Person Specification

Qualifications

UK NMC registered nurse with PIN Venepuncture and cannulation Experience

Demonstrated interest in cardiology Experience working in acute cardiology area Experience working in cardiac catheter labs Equality and Diversity

Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role). Disclosure and Barring Service Check
