Our Adult Inpatient Unit has recently undergone a £5 million modernisation project, which was completed in September 2023. Our inpatient areas have been completely refurbished in line with national guidance for safety standards, complete with enhanced safety features using the latest healthcare technology innovation. In Doncaster we are part of the All-age Mental Health Services, our inpatient services consist of two 20 bedded adult acute wards and a 6 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). REPORTS TO: WARD MANAGER ACCOUNTABLE TO: WARD MANAGER POST SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Band 5 RMN to join our dedicated nursing team in Doncaster. If you are a committed registered nurse who is motivated to enable the recovery of people with acute mental ill health, then we are keen to hear from you. Main Duties of the Job

You will be the named nurse for a group of patients on the ward, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in line with the Care Programme Approach (CPA). Demonstrate nursing practice that is up to date and evidence-based. Spend therapeutic time building relationships with patients and carers, delivering care in accordance with care plans. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on the ward and community teams to achieve continuity of care for our inpatients. Promote effective working by supervising junior colleagues and sharing best practice guidance. Undertake and update risk assessments, discussing these with the wider MDT, demonstrating understanding of risk management in everyday practice. Communicate effectively with the MDT on all clinical matters, ensuring accurate medical record keeping. Adhere to the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Operate in accordance with the policies and procedures of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. Ensure correct administration of drugs in accordance with the Trust's Policy and legal requirements. Maintain a safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. About Us

RMN or Equivalent Disclosure and Barring Service Check
