Bughties Nursing Home is a traditional tudor style building located in the residential heart of Broughty Ferry and enjoys extensive views over the River Tay. We provide nursing care for 28 frail elderly residents with various physical, mental and social care needs. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team as Staff Nurse working 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and administering medications. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Shifts are 07.45am till 20.00 hrs - 3 days a week, usually alternate weekends. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual healthcare needs. Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. We use electronic care planning system. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, documenting changes accurately. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills. Qualifications Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
