Warwick Endoscopy Unit is committed to delivering a high-quality patient-focused service. It is a well-equipped and modern department that specializes in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including bowel cancer screening as part of the National Screening Programme. An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual willing to learn highly skilled endoscopy techniques and actively assist in providing quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy team consists of a supportive multidisciplinary team, and we encourage all our staff to develop their clinical, managerial, and leadership skills in a positive learning environment. To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and the implementation and evaluation of the care programme. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. Job Responsibilities
Clinical Take clinical responsibility for patients within your allocated area of work. Continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment using appropriate programmes/methods of care. Ensure a high delivery of quality care in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines. Participate in activities to improve the quality, productivity, and effectiveness of care in response to local and national policies and initiatives. Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain own NMC registration. Communication Communicate with empathy, understanding, and professionalism with patients, their carers, and families. Identify individual needs and utilize a range of agreed communication mediums. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and all levels of staff. Maintain confidentiality at all times, as required by legislation and Trust policy. Professionalism Ensure records and documentation are maintained, kept confidential, and meet professional NMC guidelines. Act in a professional manner and as a role model at all times. Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach to work to maintain high morale and motivation within the department. Maintain and develop own professional knowledge.
