All staff will be asked to work flexibly across a range of day and night shifts providing care to older people with functional mental health needs or with dementia. Main duties of the job

The Mental Health Nurse in Inpatient Services is a core member of the ward team. They will act as a 'named nurse' for a specific group of inpatients on the ward and take responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their nursing care needs. The nurse will take clinical leadership of the ward environment on a shift-by-shift basis as required, working in a way that promotes the principles of recovery to ensure individualised, safe, and effective care provision for all patients. In the absence of the ward manager/deputy, they will also take the necessary managerial action to ensure compliance with organisational and stakeholder requirements. About us

Registered Nurse Mental Health Successful completion of preceptorship programme Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £28,407 to £34,581 a year based on full-time hours.
