Are you a qualified nurse looking to take a new step or different direction in your nursing career? Our Nurses are real life health care heroes, and we are seeking compassionate people with experience of working in a hospital environment to join our integrated trust or if already part of the trust, an opportunity of secondment for a fixed term. This opportunity is to cover a (10 month fixed term only) maternity leave post in our Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology unit within the Women's Hospital. You will require excellent communication skills, a team work approach and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team. We seek a candidate who possesses an empathetic and understanding nature, in communicating and providing care which at times can be of a sensitive nature. This advert is open to registered nurses of at least 1 year post registration, ideally of an acute background.

Main duties of the job

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care. To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trust's patient and public involvement strategy. Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence based nursing care.
