Staff Nurse - ITU (ICT-NHS) Shrewsbury, England
Salary: GBP35 - GBP40 per hour Are you passionate about caring for vulnerable adults & children? Smithridge Healthcare is looking for enthusiastic, empathetic, engaging Nurses to work day or night shifts in and around Shrewsbury. We work closely with our clients to ensure all of their shifts are always fully staffed and we listen closely to their needs to ensure we only match the most suitable staff to their shifts. Being an intensive care nurse is both demanding and incredibly fulfilling. It involves providing specialised, high-level care to critically ill patients who require constant monitoring and complex medical interventions. As a Registered Nurse on ITU, you will be expected to perform the following daily duties: Provide general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organisation. Prioritise nursing care, recognise deterioration in patient’s condition, and escalate to the senior nursing team/clinicians immediately. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complete monitoring & observations. Administer medications correctly. Complete all necessary paperwork. Run a team and manage a shift. Liaise with other healthcare professionals and family members when needed. Provide Person Centred Care; tailoring the care to meet the individual’s needs, wants, likes & dislikes. Person Specification: Up to date immunisations. 6 months of UK hospital experience. Valid Right to Work in the UK. Previous experience in A&E, ICU or acute medical. Must be registered with UK NMC.
