Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust We are delighted to offer an opportunity to join us in our new secure care services based at Northgate Park, Morpeth within our newly purpose-built Sycamore Unit.

Berwick Ward is a 14-bed medium secure unit for the treatment of working age men with complex mental health problems, who have been in contact with the Criminal Justice system. We have developed a strong and cohesive MDT who work collaboratively with the patient group to achieve positive outcomes within the care and treatment pathway.

Main Duties of the Job

Act as a Primary/Named Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative and needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Provide excellent professional, skilled, and effective person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.

Be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.

Be visible and accessible to patients, families, and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective, and caring services.

Contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.

Person Specification Education and Qualification Knowledge and Experience

Experience of working with service users with complex mental health/learning disability needs.

Clinical Supervision.

Mental Health/Learning Disabilities needs.

Care Coordination.

Safeguarding.

Experience of working in inpatient services.

Knowledge of SCM.

Skills and Competencies

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Collaborative working.

Time management.
