If you would like to find out more about our recruitment process, email our recruitment team. Preceptorship

The transition from student to registered practitioner or international practitioner in the first UK post can feel quite daunting. Our mandatory multi-professional preceptorship programme has been developed to help support and guide you, through this transition period. Our Preceptorship programme is offered to newly registered practitioners known as preceptees (nurses, international nurses, registered nursing associates, return to practice practitioners, allied health professionals and international allied health professionals) within your first year of registration with your professional body. Our programme aims to provide you with support, structure and opportunities to develop confidence as an autonomous practitioner. You will be supported by an experienced preceptor along with other clinicians from your place of work and attend seven preceptorship study days devised by members of the Professional Development and Clinical Skills team. The monthly study days facilitated by subject matter experts from various specialities of practice provide an opportunity for interprofessional working, peer support and shared learning. To aid academic development all preceptees are offered the opportunity to undertake the Level 7 15 credit “Preceptorship for Healthcare Practice” (AP7026) postgraduate module accredited and validated by the University of Gloucestershire which runs alongside the preceptorship programme. The aim of the preceptorship programme is to be supportive and rewarding, empowering you to provide the highest standards of compassionate care to our patients, service users, their families and carers. We are committed to offering all clinical and non-clinical colleagues the opportunity to access high-quality apprenticeship training throughout their careers with the Trust. We currently offer apprenticeships from Level 2 up to Level 7, and more than 20 different apprenticeship standards. An apprenticeship within our Trust can also help to kickstart your career within healthcare, provide you with a nationally-recognised qualification and quality workplace experience within a professional setting. Our dedicated

Apprenticeship and Widening Access Team
