Job Description:
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our specialist learning disability rehabilitation unit in Norfolk. The unit provides comprehensive care and support to adult females with a range of needs including autism, personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse and complex needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental health, documenting changes and communicating concerns to the relevant team members. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting understanding and engagement in their treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities. Adhere to all unit policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with valid NMC Pin. Experience working in a learning disability or mental health setting is highly desirable. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex cases. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to delivering high standards of care and promoting patient well-being.
