An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Rotherham Critical Care team as a Band 5 Staff Nurse in the Critical Care Unit. As a proficient Critical Care Nurse, the successful candidate will act to ensure the highest standard of individualised patient care is delivered at the bedside. You will be an expert practitioner, role model, and mentor and will participate in the education and development of Nursing and Healthcare staff. You will work closely with the ward manager and senior leadership team to provide excellence in all areas.
We are a 13-bedded Unit, which we use flexibly to accommodate level 2 and 3 patients from a variety of specialities. We are a friendly, supportive, and dynamic team with a strong commitment to professional development. Critical Care is fully committed to audit, research, and forward-thinking. This provides a dynamic environment conducive to gaining additional knowledge and skills. Main duties of the job
To take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the patients in the clinical area with specific focus on patient safety. To effectively communicate with the MDT and exhibit a calm manner in situations of extreme workload and pressure. Must have the ability to motivate staff and facilitate effective change management. A Registered nurse/HCP with a keen interest in the delivery of a high standard of holistic care for critically ill patients and their families. We would love to employ individuals that are highly motivated with the ability to work using their own initiatives.
