Staff Nurse – Same Day Emergency Care

·
Full time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and energetic professionals to join the SDEC team at Prince Charles Hospital. We are a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated team of highly motivated skilled professionals.

Same day emergency care (SDEC) is one of the many ways the NHS is working to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time for patients.

Under this care model, patients presenting at hospital with relevant conditions can be rapidly assessed, diagnosed and treated without being admitted to a ward, and if clinically safe to do so, will go home the same day their care is provided.

If successful, you will be required to work over a 7 day period, a mixture of nights and days, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

The Same Day Emergency Care Unit is currently based within the Emergency Care Centre at Prince Charles Hospital. We are looking for Staff Nurses to join our team.

You will be required to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and provide necessary treatment according to their care needs.

You must possess good interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to function as part of the multidisciplinary team. Organisation, time management and delegation skills are integral to the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
