Job summary

Are you a qualified or newly qualified nurse looking to take a new step in your nursing career?

Would you like to join a small team providing specialist orthopaedic care in an outpatient setting at Yeovil District Hospital?

We provide care for both trauma and orthopaedic patients of all ages. Applications will be considered for candidates wishing to work either full or part-time. You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

This advert is open to registered or newly qualified nurses. Main duties, tasks & skills required

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care.

To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.

Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence based nursing care. About us
