Job responsibilities

The post holders will be expected towork across all areas of Spencer Private hospitals within their role remit To contribute to the maintenance of patientcare standards and to assist with the implementation of changes to caredelivery systems, methods and nursing practice in order to bring aboutimprovements in the quality of care To contribute to the development andimplementation of nursing standards which reflect customer requirements andprofessional best practice Carry out planned care for a groupof patients without direct supervision providing individualised patient care Provide professional leadership,advice and guidance within the team, working collaboratively with themultidisciplinary team Assist and advise staff bothregistered and unregistered in the delivery of patient care Maintain accurate andcontemporaneous patient records in line with professional standards Have responsibility for theadministration and custody of medicines in line with Spencer Private Hospitals(SPH) policy and professional standards Assist in the maintenance ofprofessional standards, highlighting to the line manager when standards are notseen to be met Uphold the corporate values of SPH Person Specification

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree Evidence of continual professional development Teaching and Assessing Course or equivalent Experience

Experience in surgical/medical/OPD environment with a knowledge and understanding of surgical/medical/OPD procedures. Delivery of evidence based practice Demonstrates a patient focus approach One year post registration experience Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent employee relations track record Commitment to professional development Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Good time management Participation in research Personal Attriuties/ Other
