About You: We are looking for a Security Architect to join our team to help design, build and operate our services securely here at Checkout. In this role you will join one of the most exciting startups in London and get to work on complex cloud architectures on a global scale. If you like working on designs for high scale, leading edge and operating in a truly cloud native fashion, then we want to hear from you. What you will be doing: You will collaborate with engineering teams on delivering secure products and services, to understand design proposals and evaluate architectures Design secure patterns and control requirements to reduce risks through opinionated architecture Develop policy as code, templates and modules to implement and enforce secure patterns and guidance Working with engineering teams to agree architectural principles Review and approve designs as compliant with InfoSec standards Subject matter expert for cloud security Qualifications

4 plus years working with major cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, Event driven / Serverless, SaaS) AWS and Azure Deep knowledge of TCP/IP stack, application and infrastructure protocols Must have a high-level understanding of security principles, control frameworks (NIST), threat modelling, and security risks as they apply to cloud solutions Understanding of cloud identity and how best to leverage cloud native architectures Understanding of cryptographic approaches Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Containers, CI/CD concepts Bachelor, Master of Science, or PhD in Computer Science, Cyber-Security, or Information Security Additional Information
