Technical checking of standards to ensure that the requirements placed by various stakeholders fit together cohesively, are reasonable, and achievable. Editorial checking of draft standards to the Submarines Standards format and style. Presenting at formal governance approval boards. Who we are looking for:

At Rolls-Royce, we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration, and seek simplicity in everything we do. These principles form our values and behaviors and are essential components of our assessment process and fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles. Apprenticeship or degree-level engineering qualified (or equivalent). Self-motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious, and resilient. Knowledge/experience of national/equivalent standards and techniques in one or more of the following disciplines will be advantageous: engineering, design, quality, processes, manufacturing, inspection. Experience in managing and reconciling differing opinions from wide ranges of stakeholders. An eye for detail and seeking simplicity. Bold and able to challenge the status quo. Experience in writing/maintaining Engineering documents is desirable, as is experience of managing programmes/interdependencies. Awareness of the structure and requirements of standards and their interaction within a wider landscape is desirable. We're an equal opportunities employer. We're committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives.
