Demonstrate the ability to manage own workload independently, as well as professionally lead and oversee the team within the outreach clinic. Attend and actively contribute to relevant BEH, Trust, and external meetings, ensuring that appropriate staff are informed and updated. This will include regular meetings with the multidisciplinary team aimed at developing and improving service provision. Record, maintain, and store an accurate record system in line with trust information governance guidance and collect relevant statistical information for the purpose of evaluating the service. Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of standards, policies, guidelines, and service improvements for the Ophthalmology Service, informing and collaborating with other colleagues. Comply with the Trust's Manual Handling policy as frequent, moderate physical effort is required throughout the role. Some requirement to deal with difficult clinical conditions/situations. Demonstrate highly developed specialist ophthalmic knowledge, practical skills, and work procedures, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant clinical experience. Autonomously manage identified case lists of medical retinal patients requiring assessment, treatment, and review, consulting with senior clinicians as necessary.
