Statutory Accountant

on a

6-month fixed-term contract . This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to join a close-knit, dynamic team with a presence across the UK and Europe. The role is based in newly refurbished offices, not too far from Leicester City Centre and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

The Statutory Accountant Opportunity Our client is a well-established technology supplier with a reputation for innovation and reliability. The role reports directly to a supportive Head of Finance, who is known for nurturing employee development and encouraging flexibility.

Key Responsibilities for the Statutory Accountant Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK and international financial reporting standards. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for multiple entities across the UK and Europe. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Support the Head of Finance with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide technical guidance on accounting matters and updates on changes to financial regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and processes.

The Ideal Candidate for the Statutory Accountant Role Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA). Substantial experience in statutory accounting, ideally (but not essential) within the IT, systems, or technology sector. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines. Available to start by the end of January.

The Package for the Statutory Accountant Role Competitive pro rata salary of GBP80,000 - GBP110,000 (dependent on experience). Flexible hybrid working: 2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days remote (with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred). Potential for contract extension, although not guaranteed. Newly refurbished Leicester City Centre office with modern amenities and a vibrant team culture.
