STATUTORY ACCOUNTANT
Salary: £300 - £350 per day
Location: Milton Keynes - Hybrid
An opportunity has arisen for a Statutory Accountant to join a leading organisation until December 2025!
This role offers the chance to work closely with renowned entities in the preparation and audit of subsidiary accounts, manage deliverables, and drive improvements.
With a day rate of £300 - £350 per day, this position is based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be part of an optimisation workstream, contributing to cost-saving initiatives and ensuring adherence to required SOX controls.
What you'll do:
Work closely with the auditors, financial accountants, and other areas in the preparation and audit of subsidiary accounts. Manage prioritisation of deliverables and improvements. Participate actively in monthly forums as part of the Optimisation workstream. Complete due-diligence checks from a finance perspective on entities short-listed for optimisation. Ensure adherence to required SOX controls. Coordinate with internal and external audit to deliver recommendations and ensure continued compliance. Develop and manage 2 direct reports. Provide SME support to multiple stakeholders.
What you bring:
Experience in statutory accounts preparation. Strong understanding of balance sheet and P&L accounts. Ability to work with different stakeholders to tight deadlines. Strong initiative attitude. Strong stakeholder management skills (desirable). Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA) (desirable).
This role offers hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.
