Are you driven to make a real impact in the lives of care experienced young people? We’re looking for a Stay Close Education & Employment Adviser to join our team and help young people leaving care in Wiltshire. This is a unique role that is part of the funded Stay Close project, that offers extra support to young people leaving care. Many young people leaving care face challenges like homelessness, isolation, poor mental health and being out of work or education. Stay Close aims to improve their outcomes and provide the support and guidance on various life skills they need to succeed. As a Stay Close Education & Employment Adviser, you’ll work closely with young people leaving care, providing hands-on support to help them access education, training or work opportunities and stay on track. This could involve helping with employability and life skills, working with other professionals to tackle barriers they face and supporting their wellbeing and independence. We’re looking for someone with a Level 4 qualification in advice, education, social care or youth work, and experience working with young people in tough situations. Strong communication and relationship skills, as well as an understanding of education and employment pathways, are essential.
