Tue 1/21/2025 Apply Now Description Working under direct supervision, responsible and accountable for all activities and competencies related to sterile processing. Ensures that instrumentation and equipment needed for surgery and various medical exams have been sterilized and assembled in accordance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policy. Ensures compliance with all record keeping requirements. Assists with ordering and procuring equipment and instrumentation as needed. Selected applicants may be hired at the Sterile Processing Tech I or II level depending on the candidate's qualification and experience. This open position's schedule is for a Day Shift, 9am to 5:30pm. Minimum Qualifications Must possess the abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting for Sterile Processing Tech I. Must have two (2) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting for Sterile Processing Tech II. Knowledge of effective inventory storage and retrieval practices. Demonstrate knowledge of the sterilization process of surgical instruments. Thorough knowledge of a variety of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment. Preferred Qualifications Sterile Processing Tech Certification. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $56,209 - $69,864 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $26.92 - $33.46 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
