The Position We are currently seeking forward-thinking individuals who ideally hold their NVQ Level 3 certificate in spectator safety to become part of our matchday team as Supervisors. The position is open to the right people that want to make a difference and are willing to commit to 80% of matchday fixtures. You will be supervising a team of customer safety stewards and/or SIA’s. Your top priority will be the organisation and supervision of your team and the smooth running of the operation in the area which you are assigned. Excellent supervisory skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team are essential for success in this position. You must be able to show leadership qualities and integrity. What you'll do Be proactive throughout the day by monitoring the stewards/SIA’s and areas which you have control over. Respond to minor incidents and communicate to the control room any action you are about to take. Give pre-event briefings to your staff on the health and safety procedures, evacuation points and crucial information that is important for the day's event. Report any suspicious activity, incidents, potential hazards in your assigned area to your area manager or control room and take any immediate action that may be needed. Provide information and assistance to spectators and staff arriving at the venue. If required, assist with the evacuation of the venue and direct spectators to the relevant holding areas as directed by your steward area manager or control room and relay this to those working under you accordingly. Deal with spectator/crowd disruptions. The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience/skills/qualities: Essential: Candidates must be aged 18 or over with a full right to work in the UK. Professional with high standards and integrity. Proven supervisory skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development. Proven analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills. Self-motivated, flexible and works well under pressure. Enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team and follow instructions. Reliable and self-motivated. Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere. Strong timekeeping skills. Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally. Anticipates and overcomes obstacles. Desirable: Have an NVQ Level 3 in spectator safety, desired but not essential. Door Supervisor SIA Badge, desired but not essential. £16.50-£19.80 per hour depending on experience, excluding holiday pay. Complimentary meal and drink provided each shift.
