Main purpose of the role: Ensure the store's stock management process operates efficiently and effectively at all times and to conclude any other duties as directed by the Store Manager. The ideal candidate will have/be: • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) • Excellent communication skills • Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Main duties: • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative • Forecast orders correctly at all times during the trading year (particularly at seasonal times) • Effectively co-ordinate the ordering for the ambient categories in store using the technologies and processes available • Maintain the back-store layout effectively • Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard at all times • Manage promotional activity effectively in store including - ordering, merchandising and reporting on the value add of the promotion to the store manager • Understand the sales versus stock holding and the impact this has on margin and cash flow.
