Permanent, Full Time Contract Your role @CHANEL: We are seeking a Junior to mid-weight Store Architect to design CHANEL’s shop-fitting and branded environment for UK, Ireland, South Africa Domestic and Travel Retail markets. Projects will be handled in conjunction with Senior Store Architect and the Store Architecture Project Management team. What impact you can create at Chanel: Design
Demonstrate good ability to understand and translate into design drawings, Store Architecture briefs in conjunction with Senior Store Architect Demonstrate good ability to understand and follow retailer’s design guidelines Appropriate presentation of design intent drawings to agree overall concept with Store Architecture team Once design intent agreed, production of the proposed finished visualisations in conjunction with external studio Prepare design pack and coordinate technical design pack for Retailer submission Responsible for the project critical path, ensuring that the design is both on time and on budget Close liaison with Senior Store Architect to ensure creative expression and coherence in design development across all styles, formats and design codes. Assist Store Architecture Project Management team with material research and prototype development. Project Management
Source 2 to 3 relevant quotations for the engineering and manufacturing of agreed designs in conjunction with Project Management team Prepare comprehensive tender reviews to fit into the overall project CAPEX cost Raise purchase requests, track and validate payments, in conjunction with Project Management team Supervision of shop-fitters in conjunction with Project Management team to ensure all the technical detailing, specifications are in line with brand guidelines and that installation is on time and of the highest standard Ensure timely and appropriate delivery to site of all necessary components for installation as well as timely distribution of relevant drawings to Merchandising Manager, Display Representatives and other relevant parties, such as IT and Retail teams Appropriate factory visits with any Project Manager to review and sign off the built fixtures in the workshop before site installation Appropriate survey of every new shop-fit within two weeks of installation What you will bring to the role: Demonstrate a high demand in the Interior and furniture design and a good construction/carpentry knowledge Experience of working in close collaboration with the Project Management team members to ensure project critical paths are met Experience of working in close collaboration with other departments within the company (marketing, VM, IT) to make sure their requirements are met Motivated and well organised individual who can work independently and as part of the team Background Master’s degree in furniture or interior design/architecture with an experience in Store Design Ideally experience in a luxury cosmetic group Computer skills SKETCHUP (Proficient) AUTOCAD (Proficient) O’365 (Intermediate) ADOBE Suite (Intermediate) MS OFFICE (Intermediate) Although comprehensive, the job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be added according to the needs of the business and as requested by the Head of ARCHITECTURE, the F&B Director or Senior management.
