To be a great Store Manager at one of our convenience stores, you don’t necessarily need retail experience. If you’re a leader who can inspire your team to delight customers every day by analysing reports and data and transforming that insight into actionable improvements, then you’ll flourish in this role.

What you’ll be doing

Your team of Customer and Trading Managers will run the shifts and manage the day-to-day operations, while you’ll have ultimate control of the store's performance. You’ll be a visible and accountable leader, finding, solving, and anticipating issues to ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll need to ensure everything is safe and legal for customers and staff. Additionally, you will develop talent in your teams, ensuring a pipeline of motivated individuals ready to move into management roles.

Who you are

You can lead and inspire a large group of people to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You are adept at seeking out and solving problems effectively by being present on the shop floor, motivating your teams, and being a visible leader.

Your starting point will be the valuable data generated daily - analysing trends and translating them into actionable activities that are beneficial to your business. You’ll have access to the best technology, including handheld devices, allowing you to be mobile and effective.

How you’ll progress

This role will provide the experience needed to advance into senior management in larger Sainsbury’s stores, should you aspire to do so. The Sainsbury’s network offers plenty of opportunities in your area.

What we’ll give you

We guarantee numerous opportunities for career development. Salary will depend on your experience, store size, complexity, and location. We also offer a great range of benefits for our store managers, including:
