You, the Store Manager, will ensure maximum profitability by achieving sales targets, controlling costs, cash, and stock. You will successfully develop the trading potential by effectively managing all available assets: the team, the space, the products, and the position. Additionally, you will maintain exceptional customer service while working within company policies and procedures.

Client Details A fantastic opportunity for a Store Manager to join a clothing retailer in York Designer Outlets. The business sells multi-product clothing through a number of channels, including stores & ecommerce. They also have an apparel range made from over 40% recycled materials.

Description • Achieve or exceed sales targets. • Ensure you and all team members are aware of the store's daily, weekly, and period sales targets, as well as their own personal sales targets. • Be aware of best sellers and monitor stocks to meet demand. • Action promotions in-store effectively and on time. • Market the brand externally to increase brand awareness and footfall into the store. • Provide feedback and recommendations to your Area Manager on any stock and sales issues affecting your store to make improvements. • Optimise product sales by maintaining an in-stock position of all sizes available on the shop floor. • Ensure customers are the highest priority at all times, building strong customer relations. • Manage and work to resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively. • Be aware of all competitors' activity and pricing policies, reporting this to your Area Manager regularly. • Take corrective action to reverse poor performance, maintaining an action plan to maximise sales. • Ensure tills are cashed up daily and monies are banked. • Be responsible for banking the store's takings daily. • Ensure all staff are fully till trained. • Manage staffing hours to cover the busiest times and days off sufficiently in advance for good staff management, recording this information for both your Area Manager and HR functions. • Interview, recruit, and appraise staff. • Motivate, train, and develop all staff to provide Menswear tailoring expertise and maximise productivity. • Routinely coach sales advisors on customer service and selling skills, focusing on product knowledge. • Develop staff to manage the store in your absence. • Review your Sales Advisors on a weekly basis, praising good performance and addressing shortfalls.
