Job Overview
Retail Security Officer role to protect the Waitrose store, its people, and/or assets by providing security and excellent customer service through Mitie and Waitrose key values.
£12.75 per hour payrate alongside numerous Mitie benefits including Save As You Earn, Share Incentive Plan, Cycle to Work, Life Assurance, and Childcare Vouchers.

Full and extensive training will be provided including MAYBO and a key focus on customer service.
Company funded SIA licence renewal.
Fully supported by the NOC and provided with technology such as body-worn cameras and incident reporting devices.
Delivering results that meet and/or exceed the expectations of Mitie and Waitrose by using all technology provided and following ASCONE guidance.
What We Are Looking For
Previous security experience.
SIA License.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Energy and enthusiasm.
Main Duties
Operations
Ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
Engage with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management and use all technology provided, including body cams and mobile devices to aid in the reporting of all incidents.
Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
Review the published Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve current service levels.
Comply with Industry and Statutory Legislation (obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and ensure it is worn at all times while on duty.
Work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way.
Training
Complete all required competency training.
Undertake training for continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
Ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
Report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
Involve others immediately if a situation appears threatening.
Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident for the Incident Report process.
Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
