Gama Aviation are currently recruiting for a MRO Stores Manager based in our Luton site. The Stores Manager will take the lead, ownership, and the primary responsibility for all warehousing operations in Luton. You will have a great deal of responsibility with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for initiatives.

MRO / Aviation knowledge is essential for this role as you will be working to CAP 562 and Supply Chain Airworthiness regulations under FAA, EASA / CAA.

The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. However, the stores staff work shifts, therefore when someone is off you may be required to cover these shifts.

Responsibilities:

Daily management of warehouse staff, including staff rotation and shift planning, sickness, holiday and annual reporting. Including the effective management, training and reporting of all stores staff. Managing store staff to ensure shelf life, stock rotation, calibration and tyre rotation. Calibration and supply of tooling to the engineering workforce across the Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO), Gama Aviation Engineering Ltd and its associated support bases. Ensuring that all mandated checks are conducted and reported in accordance regulations, policies and procedures. And that all parts are stored in-line with OEM recommendations for temperature and humidity. Ensuring “goods in” remains fully compliant with a robust process of checks completed guaranteeing that all parts received are fit for purpose, recorded accurately and meet the regulatory requirements for fitment. Making sure all consignments of Dangerous Goods (DG) to and from vendors / outstations are line with ADR & IATA. In addition, act as the focal point for all subject matter relating to Dangerous goods to the Base Maintenance & Supply Chain managers. Guarantee the effective and timely management of all rotable items and owe backs from the maintenance hangar and the accurate processing of them back through the supply chain to the appropriate vendors and 3rd party suppliers on time avoiding penalty clauses. Provide timely updates to Maintenance Manager & Planning Teams of all parts received and their schedule for delivery. Ensuring all warehouse staff are collectively informed of inbound priorities for freight clearance so that forward planning and coordination with engineering is conducted.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: Hold an approved Dangerous Goods qualification for ADR & IATA A full understanding CAP 562 and Supply Chain Airworthiness regulations under FAA, EASA / CAA. Ability to organised, systematic and a professional manner. Proactive at issue identification and resolution. Must be proficient in use of commercial and proprietary software packages and apps. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English.
