Leading a small team providing key support to refit, repair and new build functions for Berthon and subsidiaries. Typical duties would include the following:

Effective management of a wide-ranging inventory to ensure the efficient support of new construction, refit and repair operations. Implement and manage materials distribution processes in conjunction with Project Managers and Buyers to fully integrate materials supply with operations. Manage staff and organise stores facilities to ensure counter service, component picking, storage and distribution are meeting requirements. Manage stocked materials, to identify new requirements, minimize redundant materials and control costs. To manage receipt of materials, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and managing returns of non-compliant items. Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 management systems within your area of responsibility. To effectively control provision of tools and equipment including calibration. Manage provision of lifting and handling facilities for heavy items. Manage provision of access for working at height. Manage security of materials and workshop facilities. Maintain accurate up to date records. Implement and manage an effective programme of continuous improvement in relation to all aspects of inventory. Use of Forklift truck to unload deliveries. Manage the end of day shutdown and security of equipment and buildings. Further duties as may be determined for the effective and efficient running of the company. Skills and Abilities

Proven track record managing a stores department and personnel in the marine or engineering sector. High level of computer literacy. Good understanding and effective use of ERP systems. Good understanding of ISO standard requirements Effective verbal and written communicator. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Interest in boating would be a distinct advantage. Forklift truck driver (training provided) First Aider (training provided) In depth knowledge of marine equipment and materials. Good understanding of yacht production, refit and repair requirements.
