We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Asset Manager - WW Enhancement to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Strategy & Regulation are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. As our Strategic Asset Manager - WW Enhancement you will undertake: Interpretation of regulatory guidance into business advice and actions. Working with company SMEs to understand emerging enhancement investment needs over the medium and long term and articulating these through easily understandable graphics and other forms of business communications. AMP8 programme promotion activity, ensuring asset management system inputs are fit for the purpose of decision making. The ability to think creatively in a challenging environment. Keeping abreast of emerging regulatory requirements and understanding/articulating the risks and opportunities posed to your area of accountability. Keeping abreast of AMP8 delivery and the challenges we face, to ensure an agreed and logical alignment to the PR29 regulatory submission. Representation of Yorkshire Water on external groups eg. UKWIR or system user groups. Ensure your team provides a suite of specialist skills to the business on a day-to-day basis and management of these services will be inherent to the successful delivery of the role. The role will require strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally. What skills & qualifications you will need: Degree level education or equivalent Experience of working in, or with, a regulated utility Experience of managing your own workload Ability to build and maintain internal and external networks A driven self-starter with a passion for excellence and a track record of delivering results Excellent communication skills Certificate in Risk Management from Institute of Risk Management (can be undertaken in role) Certificate in Asset management from the Institute of Asset Management (can be undertaken in role) Full driving licence (as travel between locations may be required) Although we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it's important to us that we support flexible working patterns and job share options (when we can), to help you make the best of both your work and home life.
