Strategic Sourcing Manager

ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in Chichester with the recruitment of a Strategic Sourcing Manager on a permanent basis.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead the client's Procurement Strategy. This role will be responsible for finding, evaluating, and onboarding new clients to form part of the supply base.
Responsibilities:
Find, evaluate, onboard and develop international suppliers. Establish long term relationships with strategic suppliers. Track and report supplier performance. Evaluate and propose investment and support opportunities with suppliers. Create plans, budgets, and deliverables to implement. Negotiate terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness, favorable terms, and robust service levels. Identify procurement risks and work with relevant stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing operational disruptions. Work closely with the Commercial team to align Supply with Demand and deliver the Commercial strategy. Work closely with the Genetics team to align varieties pipeline throughout the supply base. Work closely with the Agronomy team to align growing standards and support network for our global grower base with agronomic know-how.
Requirements: Proven experience of Procurement, Sourcing and Agronomy within the Fresh Produce industry. Excellent people management, interpersonal and negotiating skills. A strong track record of effectively managing supplier relationships. Flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to find solutions to challenges in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment. Bilingual in English & Spanish or French. Advanced IT skills - especially planning software, Excel, and PowerPoint. MCIPS qualified preferred.
