Strategic Sourcing Manager
(SSM) to oversee an allocated portfolio of suppliers and spend categories. In this pivotal role, you will translate the AJW Group procurement strategy into a comprehensive and actionable plan, ensuring we continue to excel in a competitive market. What You’ll Do:
Negotiate & manage supplier contracts:
Lead negotiations and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms. Achieve cost savings:
Drive cost savings on an annual basis in line with departmental objectives and deliver measurable results. Develop market insights:
Gain in-depth market knowledge for your assigned suppliers/categories, using this to create strategic advantages for AJW Group. Manage supplier relationships:
Oversee supplier performance, monitor key metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and conduct audits as needed. Enhance performance & mitigate risks:
Focus on improving cost efficiency, contractual quality, delivery performance, and minimizing risks in your area of responsibility. Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in strategic procurement within a complex, fast-paced environment. Proven ability to execute procurement strategies, manage the full procurement lifecycle, and oversee supplier performance and due diligence. Strong track record in negotiating contracts that reduce risk and maximize commercial value. Skilled in managing supplier performance, building lasting relationships, and managing commercial and qualitative outcomes. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse market and financial data to drive category planning. It would be great if you had previous experience within the aviation repair industry.
