We know people are central to building a better future and we are seeking new talent to join our Strategic Projects Development Team. Our Strategic Projects Team will develop and deliver over £2bn of investment on the transmission network in the central belt of Scotland as part of our drive to achieve our NetZero targets in Scotland and across the rest of the UK over the next decade and beyond.

ScottishPower is recruiting a Strategic & Technical Process Manager, a technical lead within ScottishPower Transmission Strategic Projects, responsible for providing detailed process and functional requirements of Transmission Engineering Procurement Construction (SPT EPC) lifecycle within the SPT portfolio, ensuring systems and business processes operate effectively and are used and maintained as designed.

You’ll have overall management responsibility for EPC Engineering systems integration and management of key interfaces between all key stakeholders. You’ll set out processes and systems for the implementation of BIM methodology to all EPC projects, including ensuring best practices and lessons learned are implemented.

Working closely with key stakeholders within SPEN and SPT to develop robust technical solutions to drive business performance in line with regulatory business plans and develop appropriate testing strategies to ensure any changes to systems are of high quality and implementation is well executed. Responsible for continuous improvement to ensure smooth rollout including defect identification and resolution.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking to hear from candidates with:

A strong background in Project Management with extensive experience of large capital projects, preferably in a utilities environment or EPC engineering field.

Experience of Programme Management – able to demonstrate multiple project delivery and coordination including reliance upon internal and external 3rd party service providers.

Experience of managing major contracts/projects within an IT environment or Engineering capital projects preferably.
