Shape and maintain a clear perspective on emerging and current policy matters, aligning with overarching and area-specific stances. Integrate policy development into our business strategy to support and shape both short- and long-term goals. Identify strategic policy opportunities that meet stakeholder and consumer needs while advancing their objectives. Draft responses to policy consultations from government and other bodies, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks. Provide concise briefings to business leads, helping formulate informed policy positions. Drive impactful legislative and regulatory changes through strategic contributions. Experience
Relevant experience in a government, public policy making or strategy role, or with 5 years’ experience in utilities/energy. Proven analytical and commercial skills in policy and strategy development. Expertise in navigating complex policy issues, identifying key choices, and making recommendations with both regional and national perspectives. Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting strategies and policies to CEO and Director levels, responding to feedback, and refining policy positions.
