Strategy Consultant – Corporate Strategy 60-80k Euro

Our client is a global financial institution, offering retail and commercial banking services. The Corporate Strategy department reports directly to the CEO. The team performs multiple roles, and one of the key activities is providing consulting services to all business units across all functional lines. The consultants assist executive board members and business unit CEOs with strategy formulation across the various business lines and geographies, focusing on high visibility and high impact projects. The exposure to a wide range of topics, business lines, and top management makes the team an ideal breeding ground for future management. Consequently, they have had an excellent track record in both core strategic projects as well as in the placement of alumni in senior positions. This role is for junior to intermediate members to join as Strategy Consultants – responsible for analyzing, composing, and delivering a detailed solution to the issue at hand. To achieve that, you will work with a multi-disciplined project team composed of 2-3 consultants, representatives of internal clients, and (sometimes) external consultants. You should have a very strong academic track record, with a university degree (Masters-level preferred). One to two years of strategy experience from a top-tier management consulting or a financial services firm is required, with the majority of consultants having less than five years of total work experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a clear understanding of how to link strategy to financial plans, are essential. Experience in MS Excel and other data analytics tools is a plus. You must have the ability to utilize research to develop deep insights and drive actionable results (“business sense”). You should be persistent, open, and a convincing communicator, able to work effectively with all levels in the organization, including senior management. A clear history of success and driving impact is important, as is the ability to work effectively in teams. Fluency in English and a willingness to travel worldwide (although most travel tends to be in the EU) is required. The Corporate Strategy department consists of 20-25 professionals, with 15 professionals focused on Consulting. Strategy consultants are recruited from inside and externally – mainly from tier one strategy consultancy firms. The team acquires its own projects and bills internally for services rendered.
