Falkirk Council are seeking to employ a full-time permanent Street Lighting Electrician to work in the Falkirk Council area. Offices are based at Earls Road, Grangemouth. In this role, you will provide both installation and maintenance services for public lighting installations and other electrical street furniture. We offer a competitive salary, employee benefits, training, and opportunities for overtime. You will be a time-served electrician and have an EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation to BS 7671, as well as a working knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671 18th Edition). ERG39 approval is desirable. Appropriate training will be provided. A full current driving licence including Category C, together with driver CPC (or willingness to work towards), is essential. The provision of this service is a high-profile matter and attracts public scrutiny at all times. The service is therefore required to be flexible, innovative, and reactive to public demands and pressures. The effectiveness of service delivery can affect the public's confidence in the provision of all Council Services.
