As a key member of the Operations team, the Stress Engineer plays a critical role in the packs for Motorsport, Automotive, Marine and Aerospace. This role involves strategic leadership in establishing and scaling Bold’s capabilities. Responsibilities Manage stress analysis and make design decisions to satisfy structural requirements. Use hand calculations and the FEA software Simcenter 3D to validate designs and provide project direction. Contribute to the definition and implementation of reliability and performance target setting. Work collaboratively with colleagues from different backgrounds such as mechanical designers, functional and architecture, hardware, manufacturing, quality, as well as external partners critical to the development of the project to meet targets and deadlines. Support the design team with your simulations providing design feedback. Develop documentation for FEA and engineering methods. Support R&D testing and correlate simulation with real world. Minimum qualifications, skills and experience Master’s degree in relevant Engineering subject, Mechanical or Materials Science, or equivalent professional work experience. Excellent knowledge of stress and strain. Knowledge in composites. 3+ years of professional experience working with FEA software, Simcenter 3D. Desirable skills and additional experience At least 5 years of experience working in a similar position. Previous experience working with FEA for EVs or other similar relevant industries.
