Temporary Are you ready to join a dedicated team of Production Operators? We are currently seeking a motivated Strip and Clean Operative to safely clean and dismantle rail equipment, ensuring key parts are not damaged. This is a temporary position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on your own initiative or as part of a team within our client's Production team. Key Duties & Tasks: Work on your own initiative or collaborate effectively as part of a team within a dedicated team of Production Operators. Perform tasks within the shop floor area that fall within your capabilities. Be flexible and willing to work in any shop floor area, accepting varying shift patterns and being open to assisting in non-assembly areas if required. Undertake necessary training to allow for flexibility between different strip and clean areas and train other personnel. Strip and clean a variety of equipment, including callipers, actuators, couplers, and more. Ensure that quality requirements are met by working in accordance with technical documents and work instructions. Carry out minor maintenance tasks and specified routine preventative maintenance. Actively participate in continuous improvement workshops to increase efficiency within our client's organisation. Utilise Continuous Improvement tools such as 5S to improve flow and workplace layout. Populate safety, downtime, and quality-related documents and databases. Communicate any deficiencies in the production activity to Supervision as they are detected and suggest possible actions to correct these deficiencies. Ensure that tools, gauges, measuring equipment, etc. are properly stored. Comply with our client's company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Personnel policies and procedures. Carry out any other reasonable duty or task as instructed by your manager in pursuit of our client's goals and objectives. Key Duties & Tasks (Trainer): Provide training to achieve a multi-skilled workforce within the Strip and Clean area. Train employees, agency workers, and Apprentices on various products, components, and best practices, ensuring trainees are competent and can be assessed as such. Collaborate with Competence Leader to provide accurate overviews of training activities in line with the Training Plan. Proactively identify and report problems while training. Work closely with the Quality team to understand the latest customer issues and provide necessary training as required. Education, Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - Essential:

Monday to Friday Pay:

£13.78 while training then slight increase after Competencies & Behaviours: Resilient with an excellent ability to communicate effectively. Calm under pressure with a can-do attitude.
