On behalf of the University Hospital based on South Coast of England, I’m looking for an experienced locum consultant available for a minimum of 3 months with a possible extension.
The position is for 3 months initially with a view to extend.
Mon – Fri + 1 in 5 weekends on-call cover
Daily work on HASU including attending stroke calls and assessing patients for thrombolysis/thrombectomy
Daily TIA clinics
OP stroke clinic (held weekly but shared between colleagues). Potential to expand this service including virtual and face-to-face appointments
Attendance at daily board rounds and MDTs
Please note that all the above duties are shared between colleagues to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Requirements:
GMC, entry on specialist register will be advantageous but is not a must
Minimum 1 year of NHS experience on Consultant level (candidate must be able to work independently)
