Job Description:
Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Design Engineer to join their dynamic team, specialising in residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, with hands-on experience using AutoCAD and Revit software. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs and collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed structural designs and drawings for residential projects using AutoCAD and Revit. Analyse and interpret architectural designs to provide effective structural solutions. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure designs meet required specifications. Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project requirements and design needs. Prepare detailed reports, design specifications, and documentation for submission. Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural design for residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate design ideas clearly.
