I am actively recruiting for a motivated and skilled Structural Engineer to join a dynamic and thriving multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Bishop's Stortford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to take the next step in their career, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment while working on a range of exciting and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities for this Structural Engineering role:
Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems across various building types, including residential and commercial projects. Work alongside senior engineers to ensure successful project delivery, from initial concept through to completion. Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and offer technical support. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to achieve project objectives. Contribute to report preparation and presentations for clients and stakeholders. Help develop innovative solutions for structural challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this Structural Engineering role, you will need: A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Ideally, 3-4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards). Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the structural engineering field.
