Structural Engineer
Manchester City Centre
£35k - £40k (possibly more depending on experience)
Company Overview: An international Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Manchester City Centre is currently looking for a Structural Engineer with over 4 years' experience to join the team and work on a number of worldwide projects in the high-rise Residential and Commercial sector.
Team Structure: With 14 offices globally, Manchester is their only UK office, and you will be joining a team of almost 30 staff in total. They also partner with their Malaysia-based Kuala Lumpur office.
Key Responsibilities: The right Structural Engineer will be expected to undertake structural design calculations in a variety of media including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry in accordance with British Standards / Euro Codes to successfully deliver projects for Clients. Projects will be allocated, and design works may include provision of working drawings or liaising with a draftsman who will produce the drawings for your review.
Experience/Qualifications:
Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering with a minimum of around 4 years' post qualification experience. BEng (Hons) essential, Meng (Hons) preferable. Independently further your Professional Development towards Professional Membership of ICE or IStructE, with support provided through in-house mentoring and training sessions.
Package: 37.5 hours working week, notionally 9am-5pm with some flexibility, based in Manchester City Centre. Salary dependent upon experience but most likely £35k - £40k per annum. Holidays - 25 days (3 to be taken over Christmas period) plus statutory Bank Holidays. Benefits package included.
